Qingping Temp & RH Monitor Pro S Review: Smart Comfort Monitoring

The Qingping Temp & RH Monitor Pro S is the Wi-Fi, larger-screen member of Qingping's comfort monitor family. It is not currently listed on Amazon US under its own name; the related listings are the HomeKit Monitor T and the CO₂ monitor. This review explains what the Pro S offers and which sibling to buy if you cannot find it.

Verdict

The Pro S is the member of Qingping’s temperature and humidity family designed for people who want a bigger display and Wi-Fi rather than a Thread-only HomeKit sensor. According to Qingping’s documentation it shows temperature, humidity and a comfort indication on a large e-ink screen, reports over Wi-Fi to the Qingping+ app on iOS and Android, and integrates with more than one smart-home platform. It is not currently listed on Amazon US under its own name. The closest listed models are the Monitor T, which is smaller, HomeKit-only and iPhone-only, and the Qingping CO₂ monitor, which adds NDIR CO₂ on Wi-Fi. If you want the Pro S specifically, buy from Qingping or a retailer that stocks it; if you need a monitor now, the table below shows which sibling covers your case.

What Is Different Across the Family

Item Monitor T (Amazon) Pro S CO₂ & Temp & RH (Amazon)
Measurements Temperature, humidity Temperature, humidity CO₂, temperature, humidity
Display Small e-ink Larger e-ink per Qingping Display with colour CO₂ indicator
Connectivity Thread or Bluetooth Wi-Fi per Qingping Wi-Fi
Phone platform iPhone only iOS and Android iOS and Android (Qingping IoT)
Smart home Apple Home Multiple platforms per Qingping Qingping IoT alerts by app, email, text
Power Battery, about 8 months Battery, rechargeable per Qingping Rechargeable or USB

The Amazon columns are taken from the listings. The Pro S column reflects Qingping’s own product descriptions; where we are not certain of a figure we have described it qualitatively rather than quoting a number.

The Sensor

Qingping describes Swiss-made temperature and humidity sensors across this family, and the listed siblings quote a 0 to 50°C or -20 to 50°C temperature range and 0 to 99.9% RH non-condensing. The Pro S is designed for the same indoor comfort use: bedrooms, nurseries, cellars, greenhouses and instrument rooms. As with any hygrometer, allow the unit to settle for a while after moving it and keep it away from windows, radiators and direct sun. A sensor of this class is accurate enough to decide whether a room needs a dehumidifier or a humidifier; it is not a reference instrument, and two units in the same room will usually differ by a percent or two. Verification methods are in how to calibrate a hygrometer.

Wi-Fi Versus Thread

The Monitor T’s Thread design gives very long battery life but needs an Apple border router for remote access and excludes Android. A Wi-Fi design like the Pro S reaches the cloud through any router, works with either phone platform and can push alerts without a hub, at the cost of shorter battery life and a periodic recharge. Which is better depends on your home: an Apple Home with a HomePod mini favours the T; a mixed household or an Android user favours the Pro S or the CO₂ monitor. The reasoning is the same as in our Bluetooth versus Wi-Fi guide.

Which Sibling to Buy Now

  • Apple Home, iPhone, Thread router: the Monitor T is smaller and lasts longer on a battery.
  • Android or mixed household, Wi-Fi alerts wanted: the CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor gives comfort readings plus CO₂ for a moderate step up.
  • Large display, Wi-Fi, no CO₂: wait for or source the Pro S.

For a comfort-only sensor that logs to a file rather than a cloud, our guide to choosing a temperature and humidity data logger covers alternatives.

Strengths

  • Larger display than the Monitor T.
  • Wi-Fi with iOS and Android support.
  • Same sensor family and measurement approach as the listed siblings.

Limitations

  • Not currently listed on Amazon US under its own name.
  • No CO₂ or air quality readings.
  • Shorter battery life than a Thread or Bluetooth design.

How It Compares

The Monitor T and the Qingping CO₂ monitor are the listed siblings. The SwitchBot Meter Pro is the closest competitor: a large-screen comfort monitor with a clock, Bluetooth locally and cloud or Matter through a SwitchBot hub.

How We Research

This review is based on Qingping’s published product documentation for the Temp & RH family, the Amazon listings for the Monitor T and the CO₂ monitor, and owner reports. We did not run laboratory tests. Where the Pro S differs from the listed siblings we have relied on Qingping’s descriptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Pro S on Amazon US?

Not under its own listing at the time of writing. The related Amazon listings are the Qingping Temp & RH Monitor T (HomeKit, Thread or Bluetooth) and the Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor (Wi-Fi). This review links those as the closest models.

How is the Pro S different from the Monitor T?

Per Qingping's documentation the Pro S has a larger display, connects over Wi-Fi rather than Thread, works with both iOS and Android through the Qingping+ app, and supports more than one smart-home platform. The Monitor T is HomeKit and iPhone only.

Does the Pro S measure CO₂?

No. It is a temperature and humidity monitor. For CO₂ the Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor is the sibling.

Is the sensor the same?

Qingping uses Swiss-made temperature and humidity sensors across the family and describes the same measurement ranges. Confirm figures on the Pro S specification page.
