Akermin is an independent publisher covering the instruments people use to measure and improve their environment: CO₂ and air-quality monitors, gas detectors, weather and climate sensors, thermal cameras, electrical test tools and solar testing gear.
What we do
We read the documentation most buyers never see, such as sensor datasheets, calibration procedures and accuracy specifications, and turn it into plain-language guides. Where a product is recommended, we explain which documented characteristics earned it the spot and where it falls short.
What we do not do
We do not run a test laboratory, and we do not claim to. You will not find invented “our lab measured” figures on this site. When we cite a number, it comes from the manufacturer, a standards body, a published study or an identified third party, and we say which.
How the site is funded

Content is produced by the Akermin editorial team and published under a shared byline. We do not attach invented credentials or personas to articles. If a page needs a specialist claim we cannot support with documentation, we leave it out.

Akermin.com is an independent publication and is not affiliated with the former Akermin, Inc., a carbon-capture technology company that operated under a similar name.
